TINKER TOWN MUSEUM
Originally a traveling exhibit at county fairs and carnivals in the ’60s and ’70s, the miniature wood-carved figures that took Ross Ward more than 40 years to create are displayed in this 22-room museum.
The figures, including residents of a Wild West town, circus performers and more, are joined by eccentric collections of Americana—from antique tools and wedding cake couples to Otto the one-man band and fortune teller Esmerelda, who come to life for a just a quarter.
The exterior exhibits are equally fascinating, from the 5,000 glass bottles that make up the rambling walls to wagon wheels, old-fashioned store fronts and wacky Western memorabilia. Photo by Megan Ward.
