HENDERSON GENERAL STORE

Image

The Golden General Merchandise Store, opened by Ernest & Lucy Riccon in 1918, supplied residents with items for daily life. In 1962, the store was purchased by the Riccons youngest daughter, Vera and her husband, Bill Henderson, who began trading merchandise for Southwestern Indian art when the need for a general store had faded. Today, the store continues to sell fine Southwestern Indian pottery, rugs and jewelry at reasonable prices.
