TIJERAS
The southern gateway to the Turquoise Trail, the village of Tijeras was once the home of ancient Pueblo Indians. The Tijeras Pueblo Archaeological Site is a great place to learn about the history of these ancient Puebloans.
The Interpretative Center focuses on those who lived here during the 14th and 15th centuries, with learning station as well as exhibitions and monthly lectures at the Sandia Ranger Station.
