Nestled in a narrow canyon in the Ortiz Mountains, this vibrant community has some 300 residents and more than 40 locally owned shops, galleries, restaurants and the famous Madrid Old Coal Town Museum. The Mine Shaft Tavern, a historic landmark, is famous for its green chile cheeseburgers.

The group collaborates with local organizations including Madrid Cultural Projects and The Turquoise Trail Association for events, fundraisers, grants and more.
